In the process of developing IT support for electricity distribution, no single norm which would ensure a certain amount of data structure uniformity existed in Croatia nor worldwide.

Organised distribution network data management and accessibility have an important role in the operation and management of the network itself. Insufficient data and the lack of statistical indicators impair the decision making process and can lead to wrong decisions. More often than not, data for different purposes is gathered ad hoc.

The scope of the project is to develop indicators for the integration of information technologies in electricity distribution. These would be based on international norms and a common distribution network data model which utilises a unified data collection system and a common interface for different professional and technical applications.
